ABOUT US

We catch our salmon by gillnet in the pristine waters of Southeast Alaska, a region known globally for having the gold standard for fisheries management.

Our name, Slow Boat Fish Co, was chosen not just because our small boat, the Eyvindr, is the slowest (and most fuel efficient) boat in the fleet, but because we believe in living and fishing a little slower and bringing the highest quality food directly to the people.

OUR FISH

Our salmon is a sustainably harvested, sashimi grade fish that comes straight from the source: the fishermen. It is handled and processed with care and will stay fresh in your freezer to be enjoyed for the entire year.

Our fish is immediately bled, dressed and iced upon catching it. It then goes straight from our hands to a locally owned, small scale processor where it is  hand filleted, vacuum sealed and flash frozen. By choosing us as your supplier for wild fish you are not only receiving a high quality, traceable product at a great price, you are supporting local custom processors and sustainable small boat fisheries.
